Wingsuit pilots continue to come up with some great stunts to add to their repertoire. In this video, we see one complete the first flying high-five in an effort to raise funds and awareness for the Project: BASE, an organization whose motto is "Human Flights for Human Rights." The organization is looking to raise funds for charitable endeavors, although looking at their website, it really isn't clear exactly what those endeavors entail. Still, they make a mean looking video, as you'll see below.

Video: Wingsuit Pilot on Close Proximity Flight
Posted by Unknown on Monday, December 8, 2014
It has been awhile since we've seen a really good wingsuit flight video. This one doesn't give us any shots of pilot Darren Burke, but instead gives us a good point-of-view perspective as he sails through the air. At first, it just features some nice images of a quiet flight, but at about the 45-second mark, Burke flies incredibly close to the ground, as we follow him on his descent. It is an adrenaline-inducing piece of work that will probably leave you feeling happy you're just watching it on video.

Video: Wingsuit Flying in Reverse
Posted by Unknown on Thursday, October 30, 2014
Here's a novel approach to the wingsuit videos that we're use to seeing. It takes the standard footage, and runs it in reverse, which certainly makes for a different perspective. Watching the parachute actually go back into the bag, as the pilot floats back up the mountain, is kind of mesmerizing, and fun to watch.

Video: Proximity Wingsuit Flying in the Alps
Posted by Unknown on Friday, October 10, 2014
If you need further proof that wingsuit pilots have nerves of steel, check out the video below. It features Jokke Sommer and Halvor Angvik as they make an incredible flight down the Le Catogne in the Alps of France. At some points, the two men are so low to the ground that they're actually skimming the tree tops on what they both described as one of the longest flights of their careers. Amazing stuff for sure, but it only reminds me of why I'd like to keep my feet firmly on the ground.

Video: Wingsuit Pilot Flies Along Avalanche Line in the Alps
Posted by Unknown on Tuesday, August 26, 2014
If you're looking for a dose of adrenaline to get your day going, check out the video below. It was shot using a helmet cam by a wingsuit pilot in the Alps. We've seen plenty of these videos over the past few years, but this one stands out for just how close the pilot gets to trees below him. At some points, he seems to actually be lower than than the tree-tops too, as he buzzes along at breakneck speed. This is 44-seconds of pure terror.
