This wonderful video follows photographer David McColm as he travels into the backcountry near Whistler, British Columbia to capture some fantastic shots of the landscapes there, and specifically timelapse images of the Northern Lights. It gives us a glimpse of the lengths that David, and other photographers like him, go to just to get the best shot possible. In addition to watching him work, which should prove interesting to other photographers, the video also provides some excellent examples of his work as well. Great stuff.

The Northern Lights remain one of the truly great natural phenomenon on our planet, and this video captures that fantastic light show oh-so well. Filmed in Norway, this five-minute clip gives viewers some of breathtaking images of both the landscapes of that country, and the aurora borealis overhead. Video: Nature and the Aurora Borealis in Finland

Last week, the Earth experienced some of the most intense solar activity that we've seen in recent memory. Solar flares from our sun buffeted the planet, causing disruptions to radio signals, satellites, and other communications equipment. It also made for some of the most intense displays of the Northern Lights that we've seen in some time. There have been a number of good videos showing off this natural phenomenon making the rounds lately, and this is another one. Shot in Finland, it includes some fantastic images from the incredibly beautiful landscapes, as well as wonderful views of the Northern Lights.

Shot in Norway, this beautiful video is filled with lovely landscapes and some of the most amazing shots of the Northern Lights that you'll ever see.
